We had an emergency in that my husband had left his laptop behind when returning to an IT contract in Bristol. He was so anxious because it was essential for on-call work from his hotel. I thought of a courier and remember DHL was highly regarded. The whole procedure was easy, efficient, with a helpful driver and very reasonably priced. I'd found the laptop quite late on in the day but it was delivered to his workplace the next morning. Overall, DHL are excellent and I can't fault them.

Received an email in the morning advising of a delivery 13.46 - 14.45 however the delivery driver turned up at 12.45. No communication despite saying oh I wasn't expecting you for another hour. Even though I'm on crutches the large box was just passed to me and he walked off.

Delivery drivers often get a bad press. But I wanted everyone to know how fantastic a delivery driver Francisco (based at Newport DHL) is. I live in an awkward place to find, but he went out of his way to make sure that the delivery happened. He came back from quite a distance, without any hesitation, having failed to find it the first time - always keeping me informed as to where he was. Then, as it was heavy, he did all the handling. I can't fault him. Thank you so much, Francisco - you are a credit to DHL.

Initially the parcel was delivered but my mum who is disabled did not hear them so they said they would deliver again on New Years Eve. Waited until 1.oopm and telephoned them to find it had not been put on the van but we could collect at Manchester Airport. Went down there and waited two hours as they had thousands of parcels but they could not find it. Something really special for my granddaughter for New Years Eve from America. They had lots of their staff looking for it but we needed to go at 4 but I told them my granddaughter worked close to the airport. One of their employees rang her works as she passed on her way home and they actually delivered it personally to her. Well done to all the staff in finding the parcel and also to the person who delivered it she was one really happy person.
