  • Adam’s Peak (2243m) is a sacred mountain with different meanings for Buddhists (Buddha’s last steps on earth before he reached Nirvana), Hindus (the god Shiva left the giant footprint on the summit), Muslims (where Prophet Adam landed after expulsion from paradise) and Christians (Garden of Eden) and it receives 1000s of pilgrims annually.
  • Cinnamon anyone? After comparing three different varieties, researchers at Aberdeen University’s Rowett Institute found that Ceylon cinnamon was the most potent when it came to reducing blood sugar levels.
