  • The name "Hungary" is believed to originate from the 7th-century tribe called the Onogurs, which translates to "Ten Arrows" in Turkish.   • Hungary has a strong tradition in sports, particularly in water sports. The country has won numerous Olympic medals in water polo and swimming. Football is also widely popular.
  • Paprika is a big deal in Hungary – there are eight grades ranging from mild to hot, and two museums dedicated to paprika.
