  • Grenada is made up of three islands (Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique), with the main island being the largest and most populated.
  • Hurricane Ivan in 2004 destroyed a large number of nutmeg trees, leading to cocoa emerging as a major export for the island in the years that followed.
